The Scientific Program Committee of the 20th IAGG World congress of Gerontology and Geriatrics cordially invites you to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations. Abstracts should be submitted online. All abstracts will be reviewed by the scientific program committee and assigned to the appropriate session for oral and poster presentations.
Submission Guidlines
The submission of an abstract implies your consent to have it published in the Abstract Book and that the author will participate in the 20th IAGG world congress. All presenting authors of accepted abstracts are expected to attend the congress and register no later than February 28, 2013.
- Abstracts should be submitted online.
- Abstracts should be submitted in English.
- The maximum number of words is 250.
- Authors may further edit and modify submitted abstracts until the submission deadline. It is the responsibility of the authors to ensure that their text does not contain typos or grammatical errors.
- No proofreading will be carried out, and no corrections will be possible after the submission deadline.
- Authors have the option of choosing their presentation type (oral / poster / workshop / round table). However, the scientific program committee will make the final decision.

Steps for Submitting Abstracts
Notification of Acceptance
All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Program Committee according to standard reviewing procedures.
1st Notification of Acceptance (Abstracts submitted by October 31, 2012): in the end of November, 2012
2nd Notification of Acceptance (Abstracts submitted by December 31, 2012): in the middle of January, 2013
Early bird Registration: by January 31st, 2013
If the presenting author of an accepted abstract does not register by February 28, 2013, the abstract will be automatically withdrawn from the final program. If you must withdraw an abstract, please notify the IAGG 2013 Secretariat in writing as soon as possible
